Coming from a creative and technical background in design, Lucy started doing hair because she wanted to work hands on with each person on a personal level.
Lucy’s favorite coloring technique is balayage, a method where she can free hand paint highlights and colors on the hair, creating beautiful dimensions that are blended seamlessly and choosing colors to enhance a person’s unique coloring. She was trained and certified by Eva Scrivo in new york city and French balayage master, Estelle Guenot for Balayage.
Lucy also specializes in New York Dry Cut, a technique she learned and trained for in New York City with Eji Yamane at the Sahag Academy. This technique allows for the hair to be cut and tapered individually. Hair is washed and then dried and cut section by section so you can actually see how the hair lays in its natural state.
Aside from doing fabulous hair and giving away beauty advice, she constantly travels to learn new and updated techniques that she can bring back to her clients. Lucy has worked as the lead stylist for hair and makeup for Stella and Dot commercial filming and stylist for the Orlando Magic Dancers.
Hair is inspiring to me because it can be creative and expressive. It can say a lot about a person without saying much. Helping people achieve their hair goals and bringing joy when I am done at then of a hair session is what inspires me. Having the right hair can make a person move and feel differently… instantly.
